Empire is a Processing app using the Google Maps API to get directions to the Empire State Building. A user's click is mapped to a starting point in Manhattan and directions are drawn to the screen. As more clicks occur the routes stack on top of each other, revealing thoroughfares and the system of one way streets that make up midtown Manhattan. The streets of the city are in some way recreated without names, labels or context.
